The following are examples of ETA projects

CNS Fibre Optic Cable Project

The CNS Fibre Optic Project involved the installation of a high integrity fibre optic link connecting the land terminal at Cruden Bay to the Forties Charlie Platform, North Everest Platform and Ula Platform. When cable faults occurred during pre installation trials ETA were commissioned as cable specialists to review all technical aspects of the project and then worked closely with Stolt Offshore to ensure a successful installation.

Shell Odidi -AGG Project

The project involved the installation of five cable links as part of the Shell Associated Gas Gathering (AGG) System.ETA provided all the personnel and equipment including Project Management, equipment design, equipment build and equipment operators.

PEC & Level 3 Project

ETA managed the installation of two cross channel cables for Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN) on behalf of CTC Marine Projects. The Pan European Crossing (PEC) is part of Global Crossing's network. The 'Tangerine' cable connects the UK with the rest of Level 3's global submarine cable network.

Sirius Cable System

The Sirius cable system is a fibre optic ring system with two submarine segments which link Northern Ireland and Eire with the UK. The system was supplied and installed by Pirelli under a turnkey survey / supply / install contract. ETA were appointed by ntl to project manage the turnkey contract.

TAT 14

The TAT14 system links the United States to the United Kingdom, France, The Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark. The cable system is a dual, bi-directional ring configuration using DWDM multiplexing with 16 wavelengths of STM-64 per fiber pair. It has a dual route, transatlantic capacity of 640 Gbits on 2 service fiber pairs backed up by 2 protection fiber pairs.

Lewis Wind Power

ETA were selected by Lewis Wind Power (LWP) to identify potential grid connection points and subsea cable routes to link the proposed Isle of Lewis windfarm to the UK mainland. The potential capacity of the sub-sea cable was required to be in the range of 600-1200MW, with multiple cable configurations to be considered. Key to ETA's selection was the depth of knowledge demonstrated during the tender process, technical approach, and the ability to provide outputs in formats compatible with the client's GIS software.

Cable Transfer

ETA have been involved in a number of projects for the loading and transferring of both telecom cable including repeaters and power cable.

Huizhou Developement

The CACT Operators Group is expanding the Huizhou field located in the South China Block 16/08. The project is a platform based oil and gas development with export pipelines to a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FSPO) facility.
