Huizhou Flexible Riser Installation
ETA provided support to Hallin Marine Systems pte for the installation of a new 8 inch TCO Flexible Production Riser between a new subsea Pipeline End Manifold (PLEM), over a Mid Water Buoy (MWB) and the existing FPSO facilities consisting of a Buoy Turret Mooring (BTM), FPSO and associated flexible risers. This also includes for removing of an existing 8" Water Injection Flexible Riser between the HZ21 PLEM and the BTM.

The new 8 inch flexible production riser was to be tied into the existing FSPO in a Lazy-S configuration supported by the MWB. Initially ETA conducted the riser installation analysis using OrcaFlex. This study provided information on riser position, shape and loads at key stages of the installation procedure and examined the sensitivity of this to the range of anticipated water currents and wave heights. ETA
then provided a project engineer and deputy offshore superintendent
for the installation.
